If you are searching for theatre workshops in Ghaziabad — whether for your child or for yourself — this guide covers everything you need to know about what is available, what to look for, and how to choose the right one.

Theatre Workshops for Children in Ghaziabad

Pratham Path Theatre runs structured children’s theatre workshops in Ghaziabad twice a year — typically April to June and October to December. Each workshop cycle consists of 30 sessions held on Saturdays and Sundays at a professional venue. The workshop covers acting, voice training, movement, improvisation, and stage performance, and ends with a grand stage production where every child performs.

The workshop is led by Sudhir Rana, a theatre director with 27 years of experience in theatre and 22 years in theatre education. He has trained over 900 children and directed more than 75 productions. The workshop accepts children from Grade 3 onwards (Junior Batch) and Grade 7 onwards (Senior Batch). No prior experience or audition is required.

The current workshop runs from 4th April to 21st June 2026 at Shastri Nagar, Ghaziabad. Sessions are on Saturdays 4:30 to 6:00 PM and Sundays 10:30 AM to 12:00 Noon.

Theatre Workshops for Adults in Ghaziabad

Pratham Path Theatre also offers adult theatre workshops and production-based training. These are typically held on weekdays and are open to adults of all experience levels. The adult programme focuses on acting techniques, script analysis, scene work, movement, and ensemble performance. Over 300 adults have trained with Pratham Path Theatre since its founding in 2012. Adult workshops run on a production-to-production basis, meaning each cycle ends with a staged performance.

What to Look for in a Theatre Workshop

Not all theatre workshops are the same. Here are the key things to check before enrolling. First, who is leading the workshop? A trained theatre professional with directing and teaching experience will deliver a fundamentally different experience than a hobbyist or a school teacher assigned the task. Second, how many sessions does the workshop run? Anything under 15 sessions is unlikely to produce meaningful skill development. A 30-session programme gives enough time for genuine growth. Third, does every participant perform? Many workshops focus on preparing a few lead performers while the rest are sidelined. The best workshops ensure every participant has meaningful stage time. Fourth, is it process-oriented or product-oriented? A good workshop builds skills progressively through games, exercises, and structured training before introducing scripts and rehearsals.
